On April 1, 2025, Rep. Nicole Malliotakis communicated via a tweet her ongoing discussions with the National Park Service to find a new operator for a facility. She expressed optimism about the process, stating "We are hopeful we can get this approved and hit the ground running so we don’t lose any time in the season."
Later that day, Rep. Malliotakis announced the success of a legislative measure, sharing that "Our bill passed the House UNANIMOUSLY bringing us one step closer to protecting taxpayers from stolen check fraud."
