Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis has issued a statement in response to an order from the Trump Administration concerning New York City's congestion pricing cameras. The order demands that these cameras be shut down by March 21.

In her statement, Malliotakis emphasized that "the cash grab is over," urging Governor Kathy Hochul to comply with the law and deactivate the congestion pricing cameras. She criticized both Governor Hochul and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) for allegedly bypassing federal regulations in collaboration with the Biden Administration.

According to Malliotakis, "the Federal Highway Administration rubber-stamped this congestion pricing scheme without a full and thorough environmental impact study, as required under the National Environmental Policy Act." She asserts that with President Trump's administration rescinding the approval, there is no doubt that these cameras are now illegal. Her directive was clear: "Turn them off!"
