Nicole Malliotakis discusses new year celebration and policy initiatives

Nicole Malliotakis, a U.S. Congress member representing New York's 11th district, recently shared several updates on social media regarding her activities and policy initiatives. Her tweets covered community engagement, legislative efforts, and international developments.

On February 3, 2025, Malliotakis participated in the Lunar New Year celebrations along 18th Avenue in Brooklyn. She expressed her wishes for "a happy, healthy & prosperous year of the snake" to all participants. "Nicole joined the community in celebrating Lunar New Year along 18th Avenue in #Brooklyn."

Later that day, she announced her intention to draft legislation aimed at reducing the tax burden on senior citizens with modest incomes who rely on social security. Malliotakis mentioned collaboration with President Trump to provide financial relief to those who have worked and paid taxes throughout their lives. "I’m drafting legislation to lower the tax burden on senior citizens with modest incomes who rely on social security & I’m glad to have a partner in President Trump."

In another update posted on February 3, 2025, Malliotakis highlighted recent policy successes over the weekend: six hostages were released from Venezuela; Panama withdrew from China's Belt & Road initiative; and Mexico committed 10,000 soldiers to its border to combat fentanyl trafficking and human smuggling. She emphasized that these outcomes reflect America's renewed strength.
