Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis has expressed her support for the recent raids conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in New York City. In a statement released on January 28, 2025, she credited several key figures for their leadership in these efforts.

"I thank President Donald Trump, Border Czar Tom Homan, and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristy Noem for their leadership and wasting no time to initiate the removal of dangerous, violent foreign criminals and gangs from New York City streets—groups that have wreaked havoc in our city over the past four years and have committed thousands of crimes including robberies, sex crimes, assaulting NYPD officers, and even murder," said Malliotakis.

She criticized what she termed as a "mass illegal migration crisis" attributed to the previous administration. According to her statement, this situation has resulted in significant costs both in terms of human lives and financial burden on New York taxpayers.

Malliotakis urged full cooperation with ICE from all levels of local government to address criminal activities linked to illegal immigration. "New York City must fully cooperate with ICE to rid our city of this criminal activity. No local or state elected official or government agency should stand in the way as federal authorities enforce our nation’s immigration laws to ensure the safety of all Americans," she stated.

The congresswoman's remarks reflect ongoing debates about immigration enforcement and public safety within urban environments like New York City.
