The Office of Representative Nicole Malliotakis has recently shared a series of tweets addressing issues related to immigration policy and public safety. These statements reflect her stance on cooperation with federal immigration authorities and the perceived impact of sanctuary city policies.

On January 28, 2025, Malliotakis commented on the imminent signing of the Laken Riley Act by President Biden. She stated, "Tomorrow, @POTUS will sign the Laken Riley Act into law. She would be alive today if NYC did not release her murderer after an arrest. Municipalities like ours have an obligation to cooperate with @ICEgov to detain & deport criminals and protect American citizens!"

Later that day, she expressed gratitude towards various government officials for their efforts in addressing criminal activity in New York City. In her words, "I thank @POTUS, Border Czar @RealTomHoman, and @DHSgov @Sec_Noem for their leadership and wasting no time to initiate the removal of dangerous, violent foreign criminals and gangs from New York City streets—groups that have wreaked havoc in our city over the past four years and..."

In a subsequent tweet on January 28, 2025, Malliotakis commended an investigation initiated by Chairman James Comer into sanctuary cities. She remarked, "I applaud Chairman @RepJamesComer for creating a @GOPoversight investigation into sanctuary cities and their threat to public safety for the American people. Cities like New York haven’t cooperated with @ICEgov for years, enabling criminals and gangs to remain on our streets..."
