Nicole Malliotakis, a U.S. Congress representative for New York's 11th district, shared a series of tweets addressing issues related to immigration and federal governance. Malliotakis has been serving in Congress since 2021 after replacing Max Rose and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021.
On January 28, 2025, Malliotakis highlighted several categories of foreign criminals removed from New York since President Biden took office. She stated: "Here are just some of the foreign criminals removed from New York since @POTUS took office: A suspected terrorist Murderer Gang members & ringleader Multiple sex offenders & rapists A drunk driver Burglars and thieves After 8 days in office, more than 3,500..."
Later that day, on January 28, she expressed gratitude towards former President Trump for his transparency regarding governmental actions. She questioned why such transparency was not present during President Biden's administration: "Thank you for the transparency President Trump. Why couldn’t President Biden just tell us that?"
In a subsequent tweet on January 29, Malliotakis conveyed her support for the new Trump Administration's efforts to ensure responsible stewardship of tax dollars by federal agencies: "The new Trump Administration is working to ensure our federal agencies are being responsible stewards of your tax dollars & prioritizing programs that protect the interests of the American people."
