Representative Nicole Malliotakis critiques MTA's toll enforcement efforts

Nicole Malliotakis, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New York's 11th district, recently shared a series of tweets addressing various issues ranging from transportation to historical commemoration and economic policy.

On January 27, 2025, she expressed criticism towards the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and Governor Kathy Hochul regarding toll evasion. She stated, "If the @MTA put as much effort into catching toll evaders as they do enforcing subway and bus fare collection, they might not lose nearly $1 billion every year! Instead, the @MTA & @GovKathyHochul have allowed people to skirt accountability."

Later that day, Malliotakis highlighted the role of Republicans in women's suffrage history by mentioning Susan B. Anthony and other Republican figures instrumental in passing the 19th Amendment. She advocated for building a Women's History Museum at the Smithsonian Institution. She tweeted, "It was Republican Susan B. Anthony who pushed the 19th Amendment... We must finally build the @smithsonian Women’s History Museum that Trump..."

In another tweet on January 27, she referenced a speech by former President Donald Trump at a Congressional Institute event discussing tax policies aimed at bolstering domestic manufacturing. Malliotakis emphasized its importance for national security and job creation by stating, "Speaking to @HouseGOP at Congressional Institute, President Trump discusses a lower tax rate for new manufacturing in America…this is critical for bringing our pharmaceutical supply chain home..."
