Nicole Malliotakis raises concerns about drones and state fiscal policies

Representative Nicole Malliotakis, who serves New York's 11th district in the U.S. Congress, shared her views and activities through a series of tweets on December 10, 2024. The tweets focused on issues ranging from unmanned aerial systems to fiscal policies in New York.

On December 10, 2024, Rep. Malliotakis announced her participation in a hearing with the Homeland Security Committee regarding unmanned aerial systems. She expressed her intent to seek answers about mysterious drones flying over sensitive areas in New York City. "I will be joining @HomelandGOP's hearing this afternoon on Unmanned Aerial Systems to get answers about the mysterious drones that have been seen flying above sensitive areas in #NYC."

Later that day, Rep. Malliotakis criticized Governor Kathy Hochul's approach to managing state finances. She suggested that instead of providing 'inflation refund' checks, Governor Hochul should refrain from imposing additional tolls and taxes on New Yorkers. "Instead of offering ‘inflation refund’ checks, @GovKathyHochul should be a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars & stop treating New Yorkers like bottomless ATM machines by hammering them with new tolls & taxes."

In another tweet posted on December 10, 2024, Rep. Malliotakis reiterated her demand for action from federal agencies concerning unidentified drones over New York and New Jersey. She emphasized the need for intervention and pledged continued efforts to obtain responses from relevant authorities. "Today, I joined @HomelandGOP demanding answers from the FBI and its partner agencies regarding the unidentified drones and unmanned aircrafts flying over NY & NJ."
