Nicole Malliotakis requests FAA action on drone activity over Staten Island

The Office of Representative Nicole Malliotakis has released a series of tweets addressing various issues and events. Malliotakis, who represents New York's 11th district in the U.S. Congress, has been vocal about concerns ranging from local security to international relations.

On December 6, 2024, Rep. Malliotakis expressed concern over reports of unidentified flying objects, believed to be drones, above Staten Island. She stated, "Following reports of unidentified flying objects that appear to be drones flying above Staten Island, I’ve requested that @FAANews impose temporary drone flight restrictions in the area, in addition to requesting immediate briefings from @DHSgov & @FBI."

On December 8, 2024, she shared her participation in a cultural event by tweeting, "Happy to join Ambassador Ekaterini Nassika and Greek-American leaders at the Hellenic Initiative gala in NYC." This highlights her engagement with the Greek-American community and international diplomacy.

Later on December 8, she questioned compliance with legislative requirements regarding COVID-19 intelligence. She tweeted: "In March 2023, Congress passed a law requiring the declassification of all intelligence regarding the origins of COVID…what has Biden not complied?" This indicates her scrutiny over government transparency and accountability concerning public health information.
