The Office of Representative Nicole Malliotakis, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New York's 11th district, has recently shared her views on several key issues through social media posts. These posts highlight her stance on international research funding and domestic healthcare reforms.

On December 4, 2024, Rep. Malliotakis expressed concerns about U.S. funding for foreign research facilities that do not adhere to American biosafety and security standards. She stated: "The United States should NOT be funding risky research in foreign land, particularly at labs that do not meet our biosafety and security standards."

Later the same day, she called for immediate action on Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) reform, emphasizing the need for Congress to pass bipartisan legislation aimed at reducing prescription drug costs and protecting small pharmacies. She tweeted: "The time for PBM Reform is NOW. We did our work in committee and Congress must now pass our bipartisan legislation that will lower prescription drug costs, end predatory practices and protect our mom & pop pharmacies."

In another post on December 4, 2024, Rep. Malliotakis highlighted the passage of bipartisan legislation by the Ways and Means Committee to address predatory PBM practices contributing to high drug prices. She urged Congressional action to support local pharmacies and patients struggling with medication affordability: ".@WaysandMeansGOP passed bipartisan legislation to end predatory PBM practices that have led to high prescription drug costs. The time is now for Congress to protect our local pharmacies & support patients who are struggling to afford their life-saving medications!"
