Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis issued a statement regarding the House’s unanimous passage of H.R. 9106, the Enhanced Presidential Security Act of 2024.

“I’m pleased the House unanimously passed legislation I cosponsored with Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) and Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) to give President Trump and all major presidential candidates the same security as the sitting President," Malliotakis said. "There is no greater threat to our democracy than an attempt to assassinate a presidential candidate, right before an election."

The legislation will direct the Director of the United States Secret Service to apply the same standards for determining the number of agents required to protect Presidents, Vice Presidents, and major Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates.
