Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11) issued a statement following Secret Service Director Cheatle's testimony at the House Committee on Oversight and Reform.

"It’s been nine days since the assassination attempt against President Trump and our country’s Secret Service Director cannot provide straightforward answers to simple questions, identify the security breaches that occurred on July 13 or offer tangible solutions to ensure these catastrophic security failures never occur again. Her failure at today’s Oversight Committee hearing is unacceptable and her inability to lead this important agency is dangerous. Director Cheatle must resign or be fired and be replaced by someone who knows what they are doing ASAP!"
