Nicole Malliotakis, currently serving as the U.S. Representative for New York's 11th district, recently shared her perspectives on various legislative issues through a series of tweets. On April 10, 2025, Representative Malliotakis commented on the national debt and budgetary practices. She expressed understanding toward her colleagues' desire for significant budget cuts but emphasized that it is essential to recognize "our debt is a result of decades of misguided tax and spend policies and it will not be erased overnight."

Citing a recent example from New York City, she stated, "The House just passed legislation I cosponsored to require states to verify U.S. citizenship for voter registration."
