"In 1980, U.S. debt was $914 billion, 35% of GDP.
In 2000, U.S. debt was $5.6 trillion, 59% of GDP.
Today, U.S. debt is $31.5 trillion, 120% of GDP.
The only time our debt to GDP ratio was even close to this high was following WWII. We have a fiscal crisis & we must address it!"
