Northwell’s Staten Island University Hospital has appointed Tucker Woods, DO, FHELA, as the associate chair of its emergency department. Dr. Woods will be responsible for overseeing the hospital’s emergency services, directing clinical strategy, and leading initiatives to improve access, quality, and innovation in emergency care.

Dr. Woods brings over two decades of clinical leadership experience from major health systems in New York and New Jersey. His most recent position was as chair of emergency medicine and associate medical director at Northwell Greenwich Village Hospital. There, he managed emergency operations, strategic clinical programs, quality initiatives, and research efforts. He played a key role in enhancing care delivery and improving the patient experience. Additionally, he served as interim medical director at Northwell’s Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital.
