Northwell Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH) has appointed Guruprasad Srinivas, MD, as the new director of cardiac rehabilitation at its Prince’s Bay campus. Dr. Srinivas brings with him a decade of experience in clinical and interventional cardiology, having previously helped build a successful cardiology practice in New York. His expertise covers a variety of complex cardiovascular conditions, such as coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, and peripheral artery disease. His focus remains on cardiac rehabilitation, cardiovascular fitness, and preventive care.

As the director of cardiac rehabilitation at SIUH, Dr. Srinivas will oversee the hospital’s program meant to aid patients recovering from a range of cardiovascular issues. This includes heart attacks, heart failure, and significant blockages. Additionally, the program supports those awaiting heart transplants.
