Northwell’s Staten Island University Hospital has appointed Amin Mohamadi, MD, MPH, as vice president of clinical research. Dr. Mohamadi will oversee the hospital’s research initiatives, support innovative studies, and lead efforts to expand academic research activities. He is also tasked with mentoring residents and fellows in their research pursuits.

Dr. Mohamadi joined Staten Island University Hospital in 2023 as associate director of research for the department of emergency medicine. Since then, he has worked to build a strong research environment and direct studies examining how patient-level, provider, and system factors influence outcomes.

Alongside his new responsibilities, Dr. Mohamadi will continue his roles as an attending physician and assistant professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

“There is great opportunity for SIUH to become a leader in clinical research,” said Dr. Mohamadi. “I look forward to working with colleagues across disciplines to advance our mission.”
