In the week ending Dec. 20, 2025, two gas stations in Richmond County sold midgrade gas at the lowest reported price of $3.25 per gallon, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The average reported price of midgrade gas across the county was $3.48 per gallon.
GasBuddy reports show that midgrade gas was available at 28 of the 72 reported gas stations in Richmond County.
The average reported price for a gallon of midgrade gas in New York was $3.55, down from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration expects global oil stockpiles to keep growing into 2026, a trend that could weigh on crude prices in the near term.
