Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, who represents New York’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on her social media account about community events and personal history.
On March 21, 2026, the office of Rep. Malliotakis posted: “Yesterday, our office joined family and friends at a memorial gathering celebrating Sandra “Sandy” Dowling’s 37-year career at Staten Island University Hospital and her lasting impact on the community. Her memory will continue to inspire others to serve with the same care she https://t.co/DAwRgGitJF”.
Later that day, Malliotakis highlighted an initiative dedicated to honoring women’s contributions in America: “This should be something that everyone’s proud of and we’re really hopeful that we’ll be able to deliver this for the women of America who deserve to have a museum dedicated to their accomplishments & their contributions to our country,” Malliotakis said. https://t.co/ZPCGDwKvz6 (March 21, 2026).
On March 22, 2026, Malliotakis shared a personal reflection on her family background: “Nicole’s mother fled communist Cuba in 1959. The regime then stole their family’s small business & home. Cubans have lived in misery & oppression for 67 years. They own nothing, cannot leave & earn $10-15/month with little access to basic necessities. https://t.co/v8KX5g9nLq”.
Malliotakis has served as the representative for New York’s 11th District since replacing Max Rose in Congress in 2021 and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021. She was born in New York City in 1980 and currently resides in Staten Island. Her academic background includes degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
