Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 11th district, recently posted a series of tweets outlining new federal initiatives aimed at supporting American families and workers.
On April 6, 2026, Malliotakis announced: “A new tax deduction of up to $10,000 for American-manufactured vehicles makes purchasing American-made cars more affordable for families while supporting U.S. workers and strengthening domestic manufacturing.”
The following day, on April 7, she shared details about a program designed to help families build financial security from birth: “Every child deserves a strong financial start. Newly created newborn baby savings accounts start with a $1,000 initial deposit to help families begin building wealth from day one. Additional tax advantaged contributions from employers, donors, and family can boost this amount”.
On April 8, Malliotakis highlighted the positive impact recent policies have had on taxpayers’ finances: “Many of the taxpayers said they had received their largest refund in years, money that is going toward paying down credit card debt, catching up on bills, padding savings accounts or covering the cost of a vacation.”
Malliotakis has represented New York’s 11th District in Congress since replacing Max Rose in 2021 and previously served in the New York State Assembly for ten years. She was born in New York City in 1980 and resides in Staten Island. Malliotakis is an alumna of Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
