Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, serving New York’s 11th congressional district, shared a series of updates via her official office’s social media account on April 16, 2025. The communications covered community engagements, legislative priorities, and important upcoming deadlines.

On April 16, 2025, Rep. Malliotakis’s office tweeted about participating in a community event. They stated, “Our office joined Brenda (Kiko) Charles, Resident Association President, and NYCHA CEO Lisa Bova-Hiatt, along with residents and other community leaders for the ribbon-cutting of the newly renovated NYCHA Mariners Harbor Community Center.” The event signifies an investment in local community resources and facilities.

Later that day, another post from the same account highlighted a critical policy stance. Malliotakis wrote, “I joined colleagues in reiterating to House leadership that we MUST protect Medicaid and ensure that the final reconciliation package does NOT reduce the benefits that our seniors, disabled & most vulnerable citizens rely on.” The statement indicates an insistence on safeguarding the benefits provided by Medicaid for more vulnerable groups within the community.

In a subsequent tweet, a public service announcement was issued from Rep. Malliotakis’s office reminding constituents about an impending identification deadline, ” Reminder: We are three weeks away from the REAL ID deadline. A REAL ID-compliant form of identification, such as a US passport, New York State Enhanced Driver’s License, or REAL ID driver’s license, will be required for domestic flights. Make your DMV appointment today.” This serves to alert and prepare residents for compliance with upcoming federal travel regulations.

Nicole Malliotakis represents New York’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress, having taken office in 2021. She succeeded Max Rose and has a history of public service, including a decade of experience in the New York State Assembly. Born in 1980 in New York City, Malliotakis is an alumna of Seton Hall University and Wagner College and currently resides in Staten Island.
