Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, who represents New York’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on April 10, 2026, addressing issues ranging from Department of Homeland Security funding to helicopter safety reforms and international negotiations with Iran.
In her first post on April 10, Malliotakis wrote: “Democrats led by @SenSchumer and @RepJeffries continue to play a dangerous game by refusing to fund ALL of @DHSgov despite multiple Americans being killed by illegal immigrants over the past few weeks.”
Later that day, she addressed aviation safety following a previous accident: “Today, we stand with the families still carrying the pain of last year’s tragic Hudson River helicopter crash & call for reforms to reign in sightseeing helicopter operators who have exploited regulatory gaps to operate under lower safety standards than those of other passenger” (April 10).
In an evening post on April 10, Malliotakis commented on U.S. foreign policy regarding Iran: “The Trump Administration is using all three leverage points—military, economic and diplomatic to put an end to Iran’s reign on terror and protect our nation, our assets & our interests. We are hopeful that this weekend’s negotiations are successful.”
Malliotakis has served as the congressional representative for New York’s 11th District since 2021 after replacing Max Rose. Before joining Congress, she was a member of the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021. Born in New York City in 1980 and currently residing in Staten Island, Malliotakis holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
