U.S. Representative Nicole Malliotakis, who represents New York’s 11th district in Congress, has publicly responded to members of her own party regarding recent political actions affecting New York City. Through a series of posts on her official social media account on November 7 and 8, 2025, Malliotakis addressed intra-party disputes and reaffirmed her commitment to the city.
On November 7, Malliotakis stated in an interview with Fox News Digital: “These attempts by those within my party to score cheap political points by going after New York City are not going to be met lightly. We’re going to fight back,” (November 7, 2025).
Later that day, she expanded on her position: “I’m going to fight Mamdani’s radical socialist policies — but I’ll also push back on any attempt by my own party to ‘punish’ our city,” Malliotakis said. “I love New York and will always fight for it.” (November 7, 2025).
The following morning, she promoted a media appearance: ” Tune in as Nicole sits down with @kayleighmcenany this morning.” (November 8, 2025).
Malliotakis has served in the U.S. Congress since replacing Max Rose in 2021 and previously represented constituents in the New York State Assembly from 2011 through early 2021. Born in New York City in 1980 and currently residing in Staten Island, she is an alumna of Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
Her comments come amid ongoing debates within the Republican Party over strategies related to urban policy and intergovernmental relations involving major cities like New York.
