Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, who represents New York’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on her official social media account highlighting tax relief for working Americans and legislative efforts to protect animals.
On April 8, 2026, Malliotakis wrote that “Working Americans and middle-class families can expect an average 10% (or $3,500) increase in their tax refunds—or reduced taxes owed when filing. We are putting your money back where it belongs in your pocket not Uncle Sam’s!” The same day, she also stated her commitment to animal welfare legislation: “I’m working with @RepJoshG to strengthen our laws to protect animals from cruelty. Those who abuse or neglect animals must be held accountable.”
The following day, on April 9, Malliotakis reiterated the impact of recent tax changes for constituents in her district: “This tax season, millions of working Americans and middle-class families, including those here in Brooklyn, are already seeing the impact of the Working Families Tax Cuts as they file their taxes with the average refund up by more than 10%. Malliotakis has served as a member of Congress since 2021 after previously holding office in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021. She was born in New York City in 1980 and currently resides in Staten Island. Malliotakis holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
