Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Representative for New York’s 11th district, shared a series of updates on tax policy changes and Holocaust Remembrance Day via her official account on January 27, 2026.
In one post, Malliotakis highlighted recent adjustments to the State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction. She wrote on January 27, 2026: “As you begin filing your taxes, remember that the State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction has been quadrupled to $40,000 for families earning less than $500,000, covering 98% of households, allowing them to deduct local income and property taxes!”
Later that day, she addressed new tax relief measures for senior citizens. On January 27, 2026, she posted: “REMINDER: A new tax deduction for senior citizens with income up to $75,000 and for married couples earning up to $150,000, will result 51 million seniors (an estimated 88%) having the taxes they paid on their Social Security benefits in 2025 refunded to them!”
Malliotakis also marked Holocaust Remembrance Day with a statement. On January 27, 2026 she tweeted: “On this #HolocaustRemembranceDay, we remember the six million Jews whose lives were horrifically taken by Nazis. As we reflect on our world’s history, we also renew our commitment to rooting out antisemitism in all its forms.”
Malliotakis has represented New York’s 11th district in Congress since replacing Max Rose in 2021. Prior to her current role in Congress, she served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 until her election to federal office. Born in New York City in 1980 and residing in Staten Island, Malliotakis holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
