Nicole Malliotakis, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 11th district, has expressed her views on several key issues through recent social media posts. Her statements touch upon Medicaid protection, New York City governance priorities, and tax relief measures.
On June 3, 2025, Malliotakis highlighted the House’s efforts to balance Medicaid protection with new requirements for certain demographics. She stated, “The House struck the proper balance of protecting Medicaid for our seniors, disabled and most vulnerable citizens while implementing reasonable part-time work/learn requirements for young, able-bodied Americans with no dependents.”
Later that day, Malliotakis addressed the future leadership of New York City. In a post from June 3, she emphasized the importance of prioritizing public safety and infrastructure improvements over personal political ambitions. She remarked, “The next mayor of #NYC must prioritize public safety, improve crumbling infrastructure & focus on affordability, not his or her own presidential ambitions!”
Malliotakis also discussed tax policy changes on June 3. She expressed gratitude for support from union leaders regarding provisions she supported in a tax bill aimed at reducing taxes for working Americans and senior citizens. She commented that “Multiple provisions I championed to lower taxes for working Americans & senior citizens are included in the @waysandmeansgop tax bill and I’m thankful to @IAFFPresident for his support! More unions should endorse this relief & savings for our middle-class!”
Malliotakis has been a congressional representative since replacing Max Rose in 2021. Prior to her current role, she served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021.
