Nicole Malliotakis, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 11th district, has expressed her views on various issues through social media posts in June 2025. Her statements reflect her stance on immigration enforcement, patriotism, and local infrastructure.
On June 8, 2025, Malliotakis commented on immigration policy by criticizing California Democrats’ approach to cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). She stated that “If California Democrats cooperated with @ICEgov to deport criminals instead of demonizing agents, ICE wouldn’t need to conduct raids and riots would not have erupted.”
In a subsequent post on June 9, 2025, she addressed actions against national symbols and law enforcement. She asserted that “If you are burning the American flag and attacking American police as they enforce American laws, YOU are not a patriot, YOU are the problem.”
Malliotakis also highlighted infrastructure developments on June 10, 2025. She emphasized the importance of the Staten Island Ferry for residents’ connectivity and announced funding for its improvements. According to her statement, “The Staten Island Ferry is an essential transportation link, connecting nearly half a million Staten Islanders to jobs, services, and opportunities across the city. This funding will support long-overdue upgrades that enhance safety and improve the overall passenger experience.”
Nicole Malliotakis has served in Congress since replacing Max Rose in 2021. Prior to this role, she was part of the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021. Born in New York City in 1980 and currently residing in Staten Island at age 42, she holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
