Nicole Malliotakis, who serves in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 11th District, recently shared on social media her participation in various events. Her interactions included discussions on congressional work, trade policy, and educational outreach. Malliotakis, with a background in state politics and a residence in Staten Island, has been representing her district since 2021 after succeeding Max Rose.

On April 9, 2025, Malliotakis tweeted about joining the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI). As a Cuban-American and new board member of CHLI, she expressed enthusiasm about engaging with students in the institute’s internship programs.

In another post on the same day, Malliotakis addressed a hearing with the Ways and Means Republican Committee. She discussed trade policy with U.S. Trade Representative Greer, emphasizing the importance of recognizing potential consequences of President Trump’s trade initiatives aimed at leveling the playing field and repatriating manufacturing.

Later, Malliotakis commended participants in this year’s essay contest. She congratulated the winners and thanked all students for their contributions, expressing enjoyment in reviewing their suggestions for community and country improvement.

Malliotakis has been a member of Congress since 2021, following a transition from the New York State Assembly, where she served from 2011 to 2021. Born in 1980 in New York City, she holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
