Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Representative for New York’s 11th district, addressed several national policy issues and a local legal matter in a series of posts on her official X account between January 21 and 22, 2026.
On January 21, Malliotakis criticized both the Biden administration and House Republicans regarding healthcare subsidies. She wrote: “.@POTUS & @HouseGOP refuse to just keep giving big insurance companies ‘Obamacare’ subsidies while they rake in billions in record profits, increase premiums on patients and deny claims. We’re demanding transparency, accountability & reform.”
Later that same day, she praised border security measures under President Trump and the House GOP. According to her post: “In just one year, @POTUS Trump & @HouseGOP secured our borders, deported gangs, terrorists & criminals, seized lots of drugs & drove down crime rates. We are making America safer & more secure, just like we promised. “
On January 22, Malliotakis commented on an ongoing legal dispute involving her congressional seat. She stated: “We are reviewing the judge’s decision and our options to protect the voices of the people of Staten Island and Brooklyn. Nothing changes the fact that this is a frivolous attempt by Washington Democrats to steal this congressional seat from the people and we are very confident”
Malliotakis has represented New York’s 11th district since 2021 after defeating Max Rose. Before serving in Congress, she was a member of the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021. Born in New York City in 1980 and residing in Staten Island, Malliotakis holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
