Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Representative for New York’s 11th district, shared a series of statements on her official social media account addressing local and state issues between September 22 and September 23, 2025.
On September 22, Malliotakis extended holiday greetings to constituents observing the Jewish New Year: “As Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown, we wish all who celebrate a sweet, healthy & joyful New Year.”
The following day, she expressed opposition to a proposed traffic redesign in Staten Island. In her post dated September 23, she stated: “I join our local elected officials in opposing NYC DOT’s proposed redesign of Father Capodanno Blvd, which is nothing more than another irrational war on cars. If implemented, this plan will only increase traffic and congestion, creating to longer travel times and unsafe driving”.
Later that same day, Malliotakis addressed concerns about fraud within the state’s Medicaid system. She wrote: “New York’s own Democrat Comptroller has repeatedly found fraud in our state’s Medicaid system (here’s the latest), which is why @HouseGOP acted to pass commonsense provisions to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse.”
Malliotakis has represented New York’s 11th District in Congress since 2021 after serving in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021. Born in New York City in 1980 and currently residing in Staten Island, she holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
