U.S. Representative Nicole Malliotakis, who serves New York’s 11th district and resides in Staten Island, recently addressed several community issues on her official social media account.
On November 15, 2025, Malliotakis stated her opposition to using a particular site for migrant housing, writing, “The site is not suitable to house migrants. We’ve made this very clear, both publicly and privately, and we do not anticipate any such plans.”
Two days later, on November 17, she shared her participation in a local event honoring law enforcement officers from Staten Island: “Our office joined the community in honoring the fallen police officers who called #StatenIsland home. So many active and retired law enforcement residents in our district. We thank them for their service and their families for their sacrifice as well.”
Later that same day, Malliotakis expressed concern following an incident involving a police officer in Brooklyn: “Our prayers are with this police officer who was shot in Brooklyn this morning. We are hopeful he will recover from this attack, which serves as yet another reminder of the dangers they encounter protecting us and our city.”
Malliotakis has represented New York’s 11th District since 2021 after serving a decade in the New York State Assembly. She was born in New York City in 1980 and currently lives in Staten Island. Her educational background includes degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
