Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Representative for New York’s 11th district, posted a series of statements on her official X account addressing immigration policy, federal funding negotiations, and the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program.
On October 8, 2025, Malliotakis wrote: “Assemblyman Sam Pirozzolo & I welcomed leaders from Staten Island’s Liberian-American community to my office to discuss a wide range of issues including an extension of the Liberian Refugee Immigration Fairness Act signed by President Trump in 2018.”
Later that day, she commented on ongoing budget discussions in Congress: “Senate Democrats’ manufactured crisis can end today if they just vote to extend the bipartisan negotiated funding bill they voted for not once, not twice, not thrice, but FOUR TIMES before!” This statement was made as lawmakers debated measures to avoid a government shutdown.
In another post on October 8, Malliotakis expressed appreciation for former President Donald Trump’s actions regarding federal nutrition assistance: “Thank you @POTUS Trump for stepping in to ensure the WIC program remains funded during the #SchumerShutdown protecting access for the 438,000 women and children impacted in New York.”
Malliotakis has represented New York’s 11th District since 2021 after previously serving in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021. She was born in New York City in 1980 and currently resides in Staten Island. Her educational background includes degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
