Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Representative for New York’s 11th district, addressed issues ranging from political gerrymandering to trade and disability employment in a series of posts on her official X account in early September 2025.
On September 3, 2025, Malliotakis commented on the effects of redistricting practices by stating, “Political gerrymandering to protect incumbents & defeat opponents erases accountability and silences the voices of voters.”
Later that day, she discussed international trade following a meeting with Mexican officials: “Our @WaysandMeansGOP Committee met with Mexico’s Secretary of the Economy, Marcelo Ebrard, to discuss building on the success of USMCA to expand fair trade & reduce barriers for American products.”
On September 4, 2025, Malliotakis highlighted efforts to support disabled Americans in the workforce: “I was happy to meet with the Commission For Disability Employment. There are small changes to law that Congress can make to better support our disabled community & make it easier for them to work without SSI penalties or sub-minimum wages. I’m proud to cosponsor legislation…”
Malliotakis has represented New York’s 11th district in Congress since 2021 after defeating Max Rose. She previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 through 2021. Born in New York City in 1980 and residing in Staten Island, Malliotakis holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
