Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Representative for New York’s 11th district, addressed a range of local and national issues in a series of posts on May 7, 2026.
In one post, Malliotakis stated her ongoing opposition to what she described as an unfair financial burden on New Yorkers: “We will continue using every tool at our disposal to END this cash grab on hardworking New Yorkers!” (May 7, 2026).
Later that day, she highlighted recent achievements in securing funding for key infrastructure projects across Staten Island and Brooklyn. She wrote: “We are proud to have secured funding for ferries, public transit, roads, bridges, sewers, maritime and coastal resiliency projects across Staten Island and Brooklyn to strengthen the infrastructure our neighborhoods rely on every day.” (May 7, 2026).
Addressing veterans’ affairs in her third post of the day, Malliotakis advocated for religious freedom in national cemeteries. She said: “Our district is home to many Catholic veterans and families who proudly served our country. I join @RepLaLota & colleagues in urging the @DeptVetAffairs to ensure their faith can be appropriately displayed at our national cemeteries.” (May 7, 2026).
Malliotakis has represented New York’s 11th District since 2021 after serving in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021. Born in New York City in 1980 and currently residing in Staten Island, she holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
