Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Representative for New York’s 11th district and a Staten Island resident, has recently shared several updates on her official Twitter account addressing federal drug policy, local education initiatives, and public safety concerns.
On July 22, 2025, Malliotakis posted about efforts by former President Trump and House Republicans to address the issue of drug cartels and fentanyl in the United States. She wrote: “.@POTUS Trump and @HouseGOP are taking on the drug cartels by designating them as terrorist organizations, permanently adding fentanyl to the Controlled Substances Act schedule, securing our borders & providing tools and resources to our law enforcement and military.”
Later that day, she commented on higher education opportunities within her district after meeting with State University of New York (SUNY) officials. On July 22, 2025, she stated: “It was great to catch up with the @SUNYChancellor John King Jr. and Vice Chancellor Will Schwartz to discuss ways to boost enrollment at SUNY @MaritimeCollege, a strong career pathway for those interested in joining Staten Island’s robust maritime employers including the Staten”
The following day, July 23, 2025, Malliotakis addressed public safety in New York City through another post. She asserted: “Restoring public safety in our communities starts with New York City cooperating with ICE’s detainer requests. Failing to do keeps dangerous criminals on our streets.”
