Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 11th district since 2021, posted a series of statements on her official Twitter account between May 1 and May 4, 2026, addressing foreign policy issues, public figures’ health, and support for firefighters.
On May 1, Malliotakis commented on Cuba’s historical relationship with the United States, stating: “For decades Cuba has harbored our fugitives, provided a safe haven for terrorists and our adversaries to operate & oppressed and even murdered its own people. @POTUS Trump & @SecRubio are rightly holding the communist regime accountable for these actions.”
Three days later, on May 4, she expressed support for former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani during his illness: “We are wishing America’s Mayor, and my friend, @RudyGiuliani, a swift and full recovery. Keeping him and his family in our thoughts during this time.”
Later that same day, Malliotakis recognized International Firefighters Day by highlighting her legislative efforts: “On International Firefighters Day, we honor the brave men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our communities. I’m proud of delivering funding for our @FDNY and to be carrying legislation to make sure their overtime is not taxed. We’ll always stand with those who”
Malliotakis has served as the representative for New York’s 11th District since defeating Max Rose in 2021. Prior to her tenure in Congress, she was a member of the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021. Born in New York City in 1980 and currently residing in Staten Island at age 42, Malliotakis holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
