Former Tottenville High School pitcher Nick Chirelli and his college team, the NJCU Gothic Knights, fell 17-8 to the Arcadia Knights in their NCAA Division III baseball game on Wednesday, March 11, at 3:30 p.m.

The contest was held at Skip Wilson Field and marked the first game between the two teams for the season.

Chirelli pitched 1.1 innings, allowing three earned runs and notching one strikeout.

NJCU will face the Plattsburgh State Cardinals next on Friday, March 13, at 3:30 p.m. at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex.
