On Sunday, March 9, former Monsignor Farrell High School standout Matt Wessels’ current college team, the Iona Gaels, lost 12-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Quinnipiac Bobcats.
The game took place at Quinnipiac Baseball Field. This was their third matchup against the Bobcats this season.
The Gaels’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12 at 3 p.m. at City Park Stadium against Maine Black Bears.
