Nicole Malliotakis, currently serving as a U.S. Congresswoman for New York’s 11th district, has been active on social media discussing various issues. Her recent posts address topics ranging from immigration and healthcare to art and international trade.
On June 11, 2025, Malliotakis tweeted about a hearing by the House Ways and Means Committee. She cited Scott Bessent, who stated that “1.4 million illegal immigrants are benefitting from Medicaid dollars that should be going to our vulnerable citizens.” Malliotakis highlighted the Republican Party’s legislative efforts, stating that their “big beautiful bill FIXES this!” “Original quotation”
In another tweet on the same day, Malliotakis shared her experience of welcoming Tammy Liang, a Brooklyn resident and LaGuardia High School student, to Washington D.C. Liang was congratulated for winning this year’s Congressional Art Competition. Malliotakis has served in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Max Rose and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021. Born in New York City in 1980, she is a graduate of Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
