Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Representative for New York’s 11th district, shared a series of statements on social media on January 9, 2026, addressing international human rights, healthcare reform efforts in Congress, and recent economic trends.
In a post published at 12:31 UTC, Malliotakis expressed support for protesters in Iran: “We stand with the brave people of Iran who are demanding regime change, self-determination and FREEDOM! May 2026 be the year that oppressive, human rights violating dictators fall across the globe. Let freedom ring!” (January 9, 2026).
Later that day at 14:30 UTC, she highlighted her legislative work related to pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) and drug pricing: “In the House, New York’s own Rep. Nicole Malliotakis is taking meaningful steps to rein in PBMs, lower drug prices, and restore fairness to our health care system.” (January 9, 2026).
At 16:06 UTC on the same day, Malliotakis commented on national economic indicators: “Our economy is expanding, unemployment is down, GDP continues to grow faster than expected and real incomes are up — all signs that @POTUS Trump and @HouseGOP economic policies are delivering results for American families!” (January 9, 2026).
Malliotakis has represented New York’s 11th District in Congress since replacing Max Rose in 2021. Before her tenure in Congress began in January of that year, she served as a member of the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021. Born in New York City in 1980 and currently residing in Staten Island at age 42, Malliotakis holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
