Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Representative for New York’s 11th district, addressed ongoing legal and legislative issues in a series of posts on her official social media account between November 2 and November 3, 2025.
On November 2, Malliotakis commented on the possibility of escalating a legal matter to higher courts, stating: “We’ve beat them twice before and we’re gonna do it again whether it be in state court or if we have to elevate this to federal court, potentially even to the Supreme Court.” (posted November 2, 2025).
Later that day, she called on Senate leadership to heed union calls regarding a government shutdown: “.@SenSchumer & @SenateDems need to listen to the multiple unions representing federal workers telling them to vote for the clean extension passed by the House to end the shutdown. Every day, things are getting worse.” (posted November 2, 2025).
The following day, Malliotakis urged action from Senate Democrats concerning SNAP recipients affected by the shutdown: “.@SenSchumer and @SenateDems must vote to reopen the government to end this unnecessary and avoidable hardship for SNAP recipients in our community and country.” (posted November 3, 2025).
Malliotakis has represented New York’s 11th district in Congress since replacing Max Rose in 2021. Before her tenure in Congress, she served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 through 2021. Born in New York City in 1980 and currently residing in Staten Island at age 42, Malliotakis holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
