Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis, who represents New York’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress, responded to a recent federal judge’s decision regarding New York City’s congestion pricing program.
“We are reviewing the judge’s decision but believe the Trump Administration was well within its legal right to rescind Biden’s rubber-stamping of congestion pricing, which was done without a full and thorough Environmental Impact Statement as required by law. Secretary Duffy informed me that the administration will appeal this decision and keep fighting to protect the hardworking commuters from this unfair and burdensome congestion tax,” Malliotakis said.
Malliotakis has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Max Rose. Before her current role, she was a member of the New York State Assembly for ten years. She was born in New York City in 1980 and resides in Staten Island. Her educational background includes degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
