A series of recent posts by the Office of Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 11th district since 2021, addressed ongoing weather emergencies, city regulations, and international developments.
On October 12, Malliotakis highlighted the impact of a major storm on New York and criticized Senate Democrats for their actions during the event. She stated, “A Nor’easter is hitting New York and the East Coast while @SenSchumer and his fellow Senate Democrats are fundraising in Napa. They voted to keep the government SHUT DOWN for the 8th consecutive time and fled, irresponsibly leaving @fema unfunded!” (October 12, 2025).
Later that day, she provided an update for New York City residents regarding parking regulations amid the storm. Malliotakis posted, “New York City Alternate Side Parking is suspended for the next three days: October 13, 14 & 15. However, please note: Parking meters are still in effect.” (October 12, 2025).
On October 13, she shared a news headline related to international affairs, posting, “Trump says ‘war is over’ in Gaza as Israel awaits release of hostages | Donald Trump | The Guardian” (October 13, 2025).
Malliotakis has represented New York’s 11th District in Congress since defeating Max Rose in 2021 and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021. She was born in New York City in 1980 and resides in Staten Island. Her educational background includes degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
