Nicole Malliotakis, a U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 11th district since 2021, has shared recent legislative updates and political opinions through her official Twitter account. Malliotakis, who succeeded Max Rose and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021, addressed various policy matters including tax deductions for American-made vehicles and protections for vulnerable citizens under Medicaid.
On July 2, 2025, Nicole Malliotakis announced that “American families will be able to FULLY deduct auto loan interest when they buy a car made in America!” This tweet suggests an initiative aimed at incentivizing the purchase of domestically manufactured automobiles by providing full tax deductions on auto loan interest.
The following day, on July 3, 2025, she posted a statement addressing concerns about Medicaid protection. She assured constituents that “the one big beautiful bill FULLY protects our most vulnerable citizens who rely on Medicaid,” listing specific groups such as seniors, disabled individuals, children, pregnant women, and those with low income below the federal poverty level (FPL). She also urged followers not to believe what she described as “Democrats’ fear-mongering and lies.”
Later that same day, another tweet emphasized government priorities. She stated that “it’s about time our government puts hardworking Americans first.” The message highlighted respect for taxpayers and touted what is claimed to be the largest tax cut in history for working- and middle-class Americans.
Malliotakis graduated from Seton Hall University with a BA and again from Wagner College. Born in New York City in 1980, she currently resides in Staten Island.
