In a series of recent posts from late April 2025, the Office of Representative Nicole Malliotakis shared updates on legislative activities and achievements. Malliotakis represents New York’s 11th Congressional District and has been active in promoting various bipartisan and safety-related initiatives.
On April 28, the Office of Rep. Nicole Malliotakis announced that bipartisan legislation, supported by First Lady Jill Biden, was overwhelmingly passed in the House and was set to be presented to President Joe Biden for approval. The office stated in a tweet, “Today, the House overwhelmingly passed bipartisan legislation supported by @FLOTUS which now heads to @POTUS’ desk!”
The following day, on April 29, Rep. Malliotakis’ office reflected on the first 100 days of progress under the current administration. The tweet emphasized developments in border security, economic investments, and the negotiation for the release of hostages. It read, “From securing our border and deporting criminals to attracting trillions in private investment to negotiating the release of dozens of hostages, it’s been a fast & furious first days!”
Later on April 29, another tweet by Rep. Malliotakis’ office highlighted the passage of legislation requiring the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to implement safety standards for lithium-ion batteries used in consumer products. The tweet remarked, “Yesterday the House passed legislation I’ve cosponsored which: Requires the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to finalize safety standards for lithium-ion batteries. Requires these standards to apply to lithium-ion batteries used in everyday consumer products such […]”
Nicole Malliotakis, representing New York’s 11th District since 2021, has a background in political service, having previously served in the New York State Assembly between 2011 and 2021. She is a graduate of Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
