Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Representative for New York’s 11th district, has recently shared updates on social media regarding new tax deductions, federal funding for the FDNY, and concerns over homeland security appropriations.
On February 13, 2026, Rep. Malliotakis posted about a new tax benefit available to taxpayers this season: “This tax season, taxpayers can take advantage of a new deduction allowing them to deduct up to $10,000 in interest paid on a loan for a new American-manufactured vehicle.”
In another post dated February 14, 2026, she addressed ongoing debates in Congress about homeland security funding as an imminent deadline approached: “Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries and the Democrats are playing politics with our homeland security as the funding deadline approaches at midnight tonight. With so many events planned for America’s 250th, FIFA World Cup and the 25th Anniversary of 9/11, this critical agency that”
Later that same day, Rep. Malliotakis announced significant federal support for New York City firefighters: “FDNY to get $9 million in federal funds – Rep. Nicole Malliotakis joined firefighters Friday to celebrate $9 million in federal money earmarked for the @FDNY.”
Malliotakis has represented New York’s 11th District since replacing Max Rose in Congress in 2021. Before her tenure in Congress, she served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021. Born in New York City in 1980 and currently residing in Staten Island at age 42, she holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
