Nicole Malliotakis, the representative serving New York’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared several updates on social media. Her posts discussed pertinent issues ranging from fiscal policy to immigration and international humanitarian concerns.
On May 1, 2025, Malliotakis emphasized her commitment to addressing tax burdens. She wrote, “I’m focused on delivering tax cuts for our seniors on social security, the working class & middle-class New Yorkers who desperately need SALT relief from high property & income taxes imposed by our city and state!”
In another tweet from the same day at 15:45, she shared a poignant reflection on a recent meeting with Abigail Mor Edan, a young girl previously held hostage by Hamas. Malliotakis remarked, “This week I joined colleagues in meeting Abigail Mor Edan, a 5-year-old who was taken hostage by Hamas on October 7 and released last November, and her siblings. It’s heartbreaking that the terrorists killed their parents and a sad reminder that we must continue working to”
Malliotakis also addressed issues related to Medicaid and immigration. She stated in a tweet made later on May 1 at 17:47, “Rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse, imposing work requirements for the able-bodied, and removing illegal immigrants like the 480,000 receiving benefits in New York, will help preserve Medicaid for the seniors, disabled, and most vulnerable citizens it was created to protect.”
In her role, Nicole Malliotakis serves her community by focusing on these pressing issues, leveraging her experience both in Congress and her previous service in the New York State Assembly. She holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College and resides in Staten Island.
