Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 11th district since 2021, has publicly criticized the policies of Zohran Mamdani and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in a series of posts on her official social media account.

On January 1, 2026, Malliotakis stated, “New Yorkers are in for a rude awakening. Mamdani’s policies will only make our city less safe and affordable but we’ll do everything we can to stop his radical & reckless agenda.”

The following day, she posted another message referencing both Zohran Mamdani and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: “Zohran Mamdani & Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez want to turn NYC into a socialist dystopia. We will fight them every step of the way!” This was followed by a third post later that same day: “We will use every tool at our disposal to stop Mamdani from turning NYC into a socialist dystopia.”

Malliotakis has represented New York’s 11th District in Congress since defeating Max Rose in the 2020 election and taking office in 2021. She previously served as a member of the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021. Born in New York City in 1980, Malliotakis currently resides in Staten Island and holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.

Her recent statements reflect ongoing debates within New York politics over public safety, affordability, and ideological direction.
