Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis has criticized New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani for not responding to a recent snowball attack on NYPD officers. In her statement, Malliotakis said, “This snow attack on our NYPD is disgraceful and cannot go unaddressed. Mayor Mamdani and every elected official in our city should denounce this juvenile behavior. The Mayor must condemn this behavior and set an important tone early in his administration that disrespect toward the brave men and women of the NYPD, who dedicate their lives to serving our communities, cannot and will not be tolerated, and those who conduct criminal acts will be held accountable.”

Malliotakis has represented New York’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress since 2021 after succeeding Max Rose. Before joining Congress, she served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021. Born in New York City in 1980, Malliotakis currently resides in Staten Island. She holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
