Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Representative for New York’s 11th district, addressed several community issues in recent social media posts, including updates on veterans’ services, local religious leadership, and public safety funding.
On October 2, 2025, Malliotakis stated there had been no interruptions in veterans’ services at two local facilities: “I’ve been in contact with our local VA Director and there have been no service interruptions at either the Brooklyn Hospital or the Staten Island Veterans Clinic. Both facilities are operating with existing funding & serving our veterans.”
The following day, she shared her involvement in assisting a local religious leader: “It was a pleasure to meet with Fr. Jacob of Staten Island’s St. Clare Catholic Church, who is loved by all in his congregation. We recently helped him renew his R-1 religious worker visa after he encountered delays and returned to India. We’re happy to have helped and glad he is” (October 3, 2025).
Later that same day, Malliotakis discussed federal support for city law enforcement initiatives: “I spoke with President Trump on Wednesday, and within 48 hours this critical funding was fully restored, supporting the NYPD’s counterterrorism initiatives. It’s well known that @POTUS Trump loves our #NYPD and #FDNY and understands the grave threats facing our city. I thank him” (October 3, 2025).
Malliotakis has represented New York’s 11th district since replacing Max Rose in Congress in 2021. Prior to her congressional role, she served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021. Born in New York City in 1980 and currently residing on Staten Island, she holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Wagner College.
